About Hot Stove Fiber
Hi! I'm Amanda. I started spinning wool about 6 years ago. Coming from a background in painting, fiber started as a soothing hobby. My desire to make from scratch eventually lead me through every stage of textile making, from raising sheep to weaving on a loom.

My Mission
I prioritize and celebrate West Virginia wool, raised locally on sustainable farms. I also purchase critically threatened wool breeds from select providers through the Livestock Conservancy Shave 'Em to Save 'Em Program. Hand processing is often best for heritage wool, so I strive to learn and preserve every technique I can.
Each piece is made with care and intention. From the soil to the sheep, from my loom to your lap. -Amanda Jane Miller |
